Hi, i've tried in many ways to make the scsi-ide-cf work with my duo, but it doesn't work! I've formatted the cf card with my 540c (pcmcia-cf adapter) and installed system 7.1 with duo enabler. Then i connected the cf card to the scsi-ide adapter.... nothing boots........ -So i've disassembled the 540c and found that there's a ide drive inside, with a scsi-ide conversion card. Well, i've connected the cf to that adapter on the 540c, but also this machine shows the "disk" icon, no boot... -Then i tried with 2300c: cf to ide bus. It works! After few seconds appears that dialog box, that asks for a more recent system version. Wow!
Also these combinations don't work:
scsiA-ide-cf on powerbook 540c
scsiB-ide-cf on powerbook 540c
scsiA-ide-2300c hd on powerbook 540c
scsiA-ide-2300c hd on powerbook duo 210
scsiB-ide-cf on powerbook duo 210
scsiA-ide-2.5" HD 80mb on powerbook 540c
scsiA-ide-2.5" HD 80mb on powerbook duo 210
scsiB-ide-2.5" HD 80mb on powerbook 540c

Where scsiA is the adapter i've bought and scsiB is the one found inside the 540c.
I'm using the same settings on both adapters

These works:
ide-cf on powerbook duo 2300c
scsiB-ide-2300c HD on powerbook 540c

Now i'm wondering why i cannot use the cf card on my duo...

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Andrea.
