I'm using a FirewireDirect FireWire/USB card with my PTP. Main use is to
hook up an APS 60gig drive, which works fine. In trying to troubleshoot the
Epson-quits-in-mid-print-sometimes problem I've mentioned on this list, I
tried FirewireDirect's live tech support chat. They said it was too bad that
Apple hadn't done a better job of implementing PCI USB. Guess that meant
there were some problems that can't be fixed. If you have specific needs you
might ask.
