    I converted my first drive from HFS to HFS+ on my old PM 6500 a couple of
years ago. I used PlusMaker from Alsoft--you can reformat on the fly--without
completely reinstalling. (I would suggest having backups, however.) It worked
great and freed up a ton of hd space.
