You probably have diskfit direct already on a floppy but if not either copy
it (not using Diskfit Direct to copy itself--just a regular drag and drop
copy) to a floppy or even to your backup external hard drive. As I recall
Diskfit Direct is just a program and doesn't have to be on your boot drive.
It just has to be on any drive you can access. So, back up your drive,
remove it, install the new one, boot from your System CD-ROM, run Diskfit
Direct from wherever it is and you are done. If you want to test this first,
copy Diskfit Direct to another disk, back up your hard drive, (don't remove
it yet), reboot using your System CD-ROM, and try to run Diskfit Direct and
check if it will let you do a RESTORE. If so, you are ready to go.
