Me too.

It's a low-cost backup program. Not a very good one. But, then I've NEVER
found a decent one for a Mac. I rate diskfit direct 1 on a scale from 1-10
with 10 best.

It is a backup utility and it gives you options.

Retrospect and Retrospect Express are the best. I use Retrospect Express,
and I also rate it at 1 on the 1-10 scale. Lots of options, incredibly
difficult to use or understand, unreliable (I've had a backup that
Retrospect VERIFIED not be readable when I needed it). I think both programs
got 4 or 5 stars in MacWorld but don't believe it. I've used a couple of
other backup programs in the past and they were awful also. There was a
WONDERFUL backup program I used to use but it was for my Apple II before I
moved up to a Mac.
Best way to back up on a Mac in my opinion is to buy a large enough
secondary hard drive and just copy over the files by dragging.

I use Retrospect Express now and it is compatible. I don't know whether
DiskFit Direct is or not. DiskFit Direct may have come as freeware with my
SyQuest EZ 135 drive but I'm not sure any more.

I spent hours first reading the various web pages about OS 9 compatibility
and the best step-by-step process to use to upgrade before I ever attempted
it. The web sites list all the programs and their compatibilities. I
upgraded everything gradually and then I upgraded to OS 9. Took a lot of
time but didn't require Conflict Catcher. Try
