today's secret bonus tip is the Farallon site, and in particular, their
info on setting up a wireless LAN, which I believe goes through all the
particulars of what you're looking to do.

Your problem might be as simple as using a regular "straight-through"
ethernet cable instead of a "crossover" cable to connect to your Airport
hub.  However, if you're using DSL or cable instead of the internal
airport dialup modem, then you will need a regular ethernet hub to get it
all to work.

Some things in your message aren't very clear.  For instance, does your
setup work with the built-in ethernet in your PB?  If it does, then your
cableing is correct and you'll have to mess with the card and it's
software and setup.
