Hello list, This is my first post, and of course it is because I have a
problem. I have a PB 180 and would like to get a Maxtor IDE diamond max
HD (40 Gig) t o work in it. I have heard it is possible, but......
when I first put it in Nothing happened (set too master, old IDE drive
removed) and the system would not even boot from the system 7.6 disk I
still have. So I put it in my G4 to use apple drive set up, then back
in the PB and was able to boot from the disk, and also use HD toolkit
that came with the PB 180 to initialize the disk (it made 4 2 gig units
out of it ?? not quite 40 gigs. I then added system software, and guess
what? Nothing, and I am unable to boot from the CD again.
Any suggestions are welcome.
