Two more recommendations:
Eudoramail (http://www.eudoramail.com) offers web-baed and POP3 mail.
Grafitti.net (http://www.grafitti.net) offers web-based and IMAP (not
POP3) mail.
I've also had good luck using the email server from a NetZero account,
even though I almost never dial in.
