I tried this today on one of my PowerCenters and a Power Mac 7500. It
*did* install, but the reliability was terrible. Apparently, the 9.2.1
enablers and the new system files are optimized for the
newer-generation, Open Firmware Apple hardware. A co-worker verified
this on his 9500, both with and without a Sonnet G3 card.
Frankly, I'll take the stability of 9.1 over the unpredictability of
9.2.1 on my older machines.
On my newer Macs (the Pismo and the iMac), 9.2.1 is extremely fast.
Application launches are fast, everything is stable.
Just FYI...
