Which probably explains why Apple is trying to prevent people with the "wrong"
machines from upgrading! I'd like to think that they are limiting the upgrade to
machines on which they know the upgrade will/should work well rather than just
arbitrarily cutting off older generation computers. This information certainly
supports that hypothesis.
