I have the TurboMax ATA/DMA-33 IDE/PCI card in my PTP 225 and it works
great if you only have hard drives hooked up to it.. I have 2-20GB hd's
hooked up to it and it's sure cheaper than SCSI. The slow speed is only a
problem if your doing video on a single hd, the reason I have 2 is for Raid
stripping, it works great..
As far as the cd-rom and dvd hook up's, I had a PowerDVD Decoader card
with a Hitachi IDE DVD-ROM and It worked like crap.. It could never find the
DVD-ROM, the problem was intermittent, but I still had one..
Good Luck, and I do recommend the TurboMax card for more hd's..
