Charles, where do you live?
I think this is great. Most of us are lucky to
have one or three Mac dealers, and that's
really just one company. But a USED Mac
dealer, and one one that sells G3 upgrades,
and then refunds your money when it doesn't
work?
That's gotta be rare. Anyway, I just thought you
were lucky. I'm sure you'll find an upgrade that
works. Perhaps try that clean System install
suggestion? Sounds like your local place has
the patience, if you still do.
