Acccck! A direct question !!

Clearly, dimms with different speeds and refresh rates, heck even different
types CAN work
together, you proved that by having them installed and using the computer(s)

OTOH, your powerwave 604/150 was 'particularly problematic'

The effect of using different speed and refresh rate dimms will be random
freezing, probably sooner the more apps that are opened and ram 'reserved'

Why is there more than one speed ram anyway? Beats me... I suppose that
faster ram is slightly more expensive ...
I believe that all Macs and clones of the Clone era used either 60 or 70 ns
ram.

But get this, the PowerMac 7600/132 and PowerWave 132 are fraternal twins,
yet NewerTech's Guru utility calls for 70 ns ram for the Apple and 60 ns
ram for the PCC product.

As far as I know, EDO can coexist peacefully with FPM, although I
understand that some machines may halve the value of the dimm, ie an EDO
dimm may be 32 MB in a machine
set up for EDO and 16 mb in a machine set up for FPM.

If the ram worked in the PowerWave, it'll work in the PowerCenterPro. If it
caused problems in the PowerWave, it'll cause them faster in the
PowerCenterPro because it is more 'highly strung'
than the PowerWave.

Again, my best advice is to use the dimms that are the same spec and put
the rest in a drawer

Cheers...Michael
