Mike, You've proven your intellect here! In fact, dead pram batteries can cause all sorts of trouble and his suggestion may be dead on. I've heard of all sorts of bizarre problems resulting from a dead pram battery. Considering he said it may sound crazy, don't you think you were a tad harsh? If not:
You sir, are an jerk of the first order. If you fail to understand that this list is for users' benefit and is not your personal gripe zone in which you can rip on people try to give you suggestions...go somewhere else. Why are you here? Why do you waste time with such a weak hardware question and then hang around to pounce on any real suggestions? Anyone knows that a zero power machine either has a failed power supply, failed cord, or failed motherboard. If you can't figure out those, a pram battery may be something to consider.
