I realized this question may have too many variables, but if something
jumps out at any of you as a solution, I'd most welcome it. I have a
PB180 with a Sonnet G3 400MHz upgrade. A Logitech optical wheel mouse is
attached to a Keyspan USB PCI card. The machine ran flawlessly with OS
8.6, but when I went to OS 9.1, the cursor movements got "glitchy", and
most times, it'll just freeze up on me, typically just after startup,
when I first try to move the mouse, or when double clicking folders.
Despite the built- in USB drivers which come with both operating
systems, I had the Keyspan driver installed anyhow with OS 8.6, and no
problems. With 9.1, I tried it with and without the Keyspan driver, to
no avail.

My second question is probably not for this list, so forgive me. This
PB180 also has an IXMicro 8Mb Ix3d card, which I tried to pop into my
8600 running OS 9.1 with an xlr8 G3 333MHz ZIF upgrade. It'll hang at
startup, then eventually crash, or simply won't startup at all. I tried
taking out the original VRAM dimms, but that didn't work. Any
suggestions? (yes, I know- quit while I'm ahead, and leave the card in
the Powerbase, right??!)

Thanks,
Chrys
