That won't be a problem in this case Jim. The IxMicro TT is standard
equipment in the
PowerTowerPro's and will work ok on the 8600 which is essentially the same
mobo .

I'd be more inclined to look to software for the problems you're
experiencing Chrys.
The TT  requires specific sortware to be fully functional, and I expect the
same is true of the Logitech mouse.

Oftentimes an OS upgrade renders software obsolete until updates are performed.
Unfortunately IXMicro bit the green weenie so it'll be tough to get an
update, but a visit to the Logitec website is worthwhile .
