Considering the lack of support available from Apple or others, I have no opinion either way. I wouldn't want to buy a new box from Apple, but the old one is getting long in the tooth. I live in Columbus and went into the new Apple store to see what they had, and to get a new battery. If and only if I had an iMac and brought in the serial number would they sell me that particular battery, and would not even talk about my PowerTower 180e.
