baulders gate seems to always "walk slowly" even on my g3 upgraded
powertowerpro with 256mb ram (kinda dumb and non mac of em to not include a
way to increase speed of game eh) But the answer is yes to the lack of the
whiplash you expected, alot of times that is only really obvious if your
dealing with graphic, crunching biggies like photoshop and video editing
rendering and many people are disappointed by the lack of seeing instant
opening and the like of their upgraded system. You'd have to upgrade the
speed of your hard drive and maybe goto scsi wide system to get the quicker
"feel" your looking for with your g3 card. I have found that doing a good
defragmenting may help as well.
On the other side i bought a logitech "ball less" mouse (laser) for
14.99 at office max on sale and plugged it into my usb card and absolutly
love it and its ability to scroll with a wheel. anyone looking for a nice
upgrade might look into this as a treat. (even if your buying the mouse AND
the USB card its cheaper then most peoples mouse only upgrade!)
