Joe, I'm not familiar with internal PCI modems, but I have had excellent results from a US Robotics v.90 56k external. As for drivers, device manufacturers' web sites typically have downloadable drivers. For older devices, you can try: http://www.macdrivermuseum.com/ There is even a discussion/resource group for old Mac drivers: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/macdrivers I don't recall my external modems needing a driver (an extension) per se, although they often came with third party software for a telcom or fax utility. --Chuck -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
