Hi all, I need some help to get the CD-ROM in my recently acquired PTP 180 going.
It's not a hardware issue as far as I know, as SCSI probe knows that it's there, and tells me that it's a Philips PCA80SC. But when you put a disk in it doesn't mount.... So it looks like there's a driver missing. I know that there are problems with using the stock apple drivers in these machines, and that's what it's got at the moment. It's running OS 8.0, and one of the reasons that I want to get the CD going is so that I can update it to 8.6. )-: Any help greatly appreciated. I have bought this machine on behalf of another person, and I need to get the CD-Rom going before I can pass it on.
