Tom,

The discussion is still on ResExcellence. It has just been moved a bit. I
found it at http://www.resexcellence.com/hack_html_99/12-21-98.shtml.
Originally it was located at http://www.ResExcellence.com/12-21-98.shtml.
The technique also works on Apple CD/DVD ver 1.4.7 even though the article
was written before that version came out.

I got rid of CD-ROM toolkit altogether and find that the hacked driver works
well with my original CD-ROM drive together with my newer Yamaha CD burner
with Toast. It actually enhances Toast's behavior slightly.
