I have had an 20"Applevision Monitor for 3.5 years, bought new, had a service contracton it for 3 years, just threw out the box Last Week! today, it gasped and squinched up into a tall vertcal column with lots of ziggity lines coming out of the column 1/2 inch or do. the color seems still there as I can sort of see the Desktop but squished up. Did it know I threw away its box!?
Is it worth trying to get it repaired? It cost about 1500. new. Do you think with the way I described the damage, that it IS repairable? I am a graphic(Print) designer and liked this monitor a lot because it has self adjusta ing calibration, with really good Applevision software package. Is there a good new monitor out there reasonably priced that has comparable qualities? I use a PTP 225 and an Apple 9600 upgraded to a G3. Any designers out there who have got the new style flat monitors, I heard they are not so good for Quark/Photoshop color quality?
