It's not an OS issue. It's a battery issue. The date and time are stored with the aid of a 3.6-volt lithium battery (1/2 AA cell). These are long-life batteries, but they die eventually. Yours has.
You'll have to remove the cover of your CPU and locate the battery, which is on the motherboard adjacent to the rear bank of SIMM (RAM) slots. It looks like a small AA battery. Remove it, take it to Radio Shack or a computer or battery store, buy a new one, insert it back onto the motherboard, install the cover, turn on the machine and reset your time and date.
