I most certainly would state the speed is very noticeable ... on certain apps. Most certainly on OS 9.1. Using Apple Works 6.1.2 you don't notice it from a 240 604e. Install the 500Mhz bd ,then max the RAM. However, the Power Logix 450Mhz G4 Bd for the PTP is a Super Pain in the glutamas maximus.
I swear by the Sonnet 500MHz C3 cards. I'm writing this on one of my two PCP 240's with the Sonnet 500's installed ... that's because ... My PTP is dead in the water.
