Hi,

I am running a PowerComputing PowerCenter Pro 240 with an Acard Ultra
ATA66 PCI card (AEC6260m) OS 8.6. So far I've used 2 drives with it -
they seem to be working pretty well, but they are not in the list of
supported drives. However, I do get 1 odd piece of behavior that I'm
curious if anyone has had any problems with:

If I shut down the machine normally, and then disconnect the it
completely from the power source, it gives me the "This computer was
has crashed or was shut down improperly" (paraphrasing....) message.
If I shut the machine down normally, but leave the power connected, it
reboots fine, without errors.

When I first got the machine, I was having problems with the clock
resetting itself as well, so I replaced the battery, and that went
away. So any ideas on what is changing when power is removed? Do you
think that the error is a sign of possible drive corruption?

I've run both disk first-aid and DiskWarrior on both drives, but the
seem to be working a-okay, but I've got a nagging suspicion that they
might not be, because they're not (apparently) in the list of drives.

Any clues/help/similar? Has anyone gotten this with approved drives?

Thanks,
Jon Bocock
