The CDROMS in PowerComputing machines lack the ROM necessary to boot from
Apple install disks.
You'll need a driver for the CDROM (PowerComputing shipped with various
wersions of Hard Disk Toolkit) to boot from a CD.
Alternatively, if you have a CDROM from an Apple machine, simply exchange
the devices.
