RHB...you were looking for a replacement fan for a PCPro a while back if
memory serves.

I also had one fail on my original PCP. Recently I've been building up
another and was having a problem with the unit freezing up randomly,
sometimes after it had been perfectly stable for a long while.

I put it down to a cache or ram glitch, but replacing those components with
known good bits didn't seem to cure it.

A while back, while I was fiddle farting around with it, I noticed an odd
vibration, and traced it back to the CPU fan.

The fan was operating normally, it seemed, but a light went on due the
earlier fan failure.
I pulled the fan and compared it with another...it vibrated noticibly while
the other did not
As the fan is mounted on the carrier which also holds the CPU card steady,
it appears that the vibration may have triggered the odd and random freezes.

Powercomputing owners might remember this note when troubleshooting.

Cheers...Michael
