Hi, My PowerCenter Pro 240 (now officially a G3 500 courtesy of Sonnet) is now craving an external CD-RW (boy will this machine EVER stop wanting hardware? : ) ) I have a firewire PCI card from OWC (their generic one) and 256MB RAM, running OS 8.6.
Can anyone recommend a good ext firewire CD-RW? The LaCie 401248u&i looks good on paper/screen http://lacie.com/products/product.cfm?id=DFB91AE6-29B5-11D5-97B60090278D3ED0 and can meet my hungry machine's specs. Has anyone tried one of these? Or.....how about success stories with other firewire writers?
