Appreciate any tips or buying advice you might have. Unless you are into a professional application, all the inexpensive scanners will be USB. I believe the power base has 3 PCI slots? My recommendation would be pick up a cheap USB PCI card, and then any scanner with a price you like. In my Power Tower Pro I added a NetGear USB PCI card, $14.00, and my Canon N650U scanner runs great off it, in both 10.1.5 nd Classic. The Scanner was $129.00 with a $25.00 rebate when I bought it. Cheap and functional. Good capability and works fine for my scanning needs.
