I am having a lot of troubles with my PowerBase 180 since I upgraded to OS 9.1. I do not have any processor upgrade. I have maxed the RAM memory at 104 MB and use virtual memory.
Some operations in certain programs just don't ever finish correctly and lead to an error. The programs that are the most trouble are the ones that write a lot to disk, like Eudora mailer, a Now-Up-to Date's Contacts database and so on. Lately almost no installers will work, (which makes it hard to reinstall software to fix the problem). But I am guessing that we are just going tooooo slow. Could that be possible?? Otherwise I am at a loss as to what is up. Lew PS: Other things I have done include zapping the PRAM, deleting and rebuilding the Desktop, deleting my Finder Preferences and running with fewer extensions. None have made a substantial difference. I did have LESS trouble with OS 9.0.4. -- Lew Mills, PhD 415-550-7672 mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
