Aaron asked: >Can the processor speed on these cards be changed? Can the CPU:bus speed >ratio be changed? For example: > >Could the 225MHz CPU from the PTP run with a bus speed of 56.25MHz, i.e., >a 4:1 ratio? > >Could the PCP180 CPU run at, say 160 MHz (3 x 53.33 MHz bus speed)?
Not on the stock PowerComputing cards. PowerLogix made a 250 mHz 604e PCU based on the Apple 233 that had a remote mechanical control for adjusting the bus speed and bus ratio. NewerTech also made one with dip stitches.. They're kinda fun to play around with, but the speed boost above the stock 250 was negligible.
