I installed the game, Age of Empires II, Gold Edition. Shortly after that
ethernet stopped working. The other 2 slots contain a scsci card and a video
card. Apple System Profiler thinks I have 4 PCI slots, but there are 3. I
should try switching the ethernet card with one of the full slots to be
sure, right?

I'm using: O.S. 9.1, ethernet card: D-LInk #DFE-530TX. I got the driver from
their website, installed it and then re-installed it. No luck. The old card
was also a D-Link -- both cost about $9.99 at Best Buy. D-Link doesn't seem
to cater much to Macs. It took some work to find the driver on their site.
Perhaps their driver conflicts with Age of Empires 2? I own Conflict Catcher
3, circa 1995. Perhaps it could track this down.
