Be sure to read the incompatibility issues on the 'osx center' 
macsales page.  Pay particular attention to cdrom speed/type and 
motherboard.  If your particular motherboard does not have open 
firmware, OSX cannot boot.  I installed OSX onto a 4gig with a 9500 
and then transferred the drive to a PowerWave without trouble, but it 
would not boot into a PowerCurve (comes up with a OpenFirmware 
error).  I did however later install OSX directly on the PowerWave 
without problems.  If your motherboard is openfirmware, try using an 
old 4x or slower CDrom (apple preferably).
