Thanks GTO. I think that my motherboard is not openfirmware. But if I upgrade with a G3 card it will be. I will see what to do.
Some people in this list said that they installed OSX in a PowerCenter Pro, but with a CPU update to G3. i did not update. If I find a cheap CPU I will. If your particular motherboard does not have open firmware, OSX cannot boot. I installed OSX onto a 4gig with a 9500 and then transferred the drive to a PowerWave without trouble, but it would not boot into a PowerCurve (comes up with a OpenFirmware error). I did however later install OSX directly on the PowerWave without problems. If your motherboard is openfirmware, try using an old 4x or slower CDrom (apple preferably). -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
