Welcome aboard. There's usually lot's of people lurking here, and you can rest assured that problems and solutions you post about will assist others, even if they remain lurking. >I have a Power Computing (just CAN'T call it a PC!) I've never understood why every manufacturer feels it necessary to design their own peculiar sound plug. They could and should be as standard as the power plug. >Have a usb card and firewire card installed. The usb is fine (only a >Logitech 2 button mouse so far), can't load the firewire install disc >for the drivers, cd works fine in the G3 beige drive, not in the >matsushita on the powerbase...get a growling noise and it just spins If the CD-RW came with a diagrahm showing the jumper settings, check to make sure the termination jumper is off. Oftentimes devices come from the factory with jumpers installed on all pins, and attaching them to a computer which has correct SCSI termination already set up can result in the device not being recognized, or CD's not mounting properly.
