Firstly, what are you trying to do?  Some of the folks here might be 
able to help you...  

Secondly, IIRC, the PTP is automatically set to boot OF into terminal 
mode.  You won't get any video and your keyboard is not an input 
device in that mode...  Instead, if you have a 2nd mac, hook the 
printer ports of the two together and use a terminal app on the second 
Mac to connect to the PowerTower Pro.  I'm pretty sure that's how it 
works, but I've never tried it.

FWIW, I'm fairly certain that all clones and 6 slot Macs (with no 
on-board video) default to terminal mode in OpenFirmware.  This can be 
changed, but not without first communicating with the mac in terminal 
mode...
