I meant to say, propogation of folders, not files. This particular problem was addressed in the documentation. The solution involved me going into settings and changing something. Right now, I'm at home, away from the documentation, and the reason that I can't specify which settings were involved is because at the time I read the advice, I was incapable of going anywhere on the machine other than the desktop. I could only close the whole machine down. Moreover, single clicking on the folder gave no result at all. As of right now, the folder propogation has stopped, but absolutely nothing is happening. The blank background for the desktopop shows up, but there's no folders, no toolboxes, no menues, no mouse cursor, no response at all. The only way that I can shut it down it to push the reset and shut it down when it tries to recyle.<< > > One of the desktops? Staff. and mine, as-- hah!--adminstrator. In case you're wondering what I was exactly administrating, it was mostly our FilePro database. When this problem first started up, I "adminstered" that over to one of the Win machines. I already had a Win version of the database program..<< > > Please explain how/why the file multiplication stopped. Clearing the PRAM > won't help you here. It sounds like a preference issue.
