I'm not familiar with whatever hardware Alltel would want to install in your computer, but... I've had no problem connecting my PowerBase 180* to either DSL or cable modem service. In both cases, I've had an external "modem" (provided by the ISP) which connects via Ethernet to the PowerBase. I installed a cheap Ethernet card in a PCI slot on the PowerBase, and installed it's Mac driver software. (* PowerBase with original 603e processor, running Mac OS 8.6; Kingston brand Ethernet card; everything running very smoothly.) -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
