I'm inclined to agree with Stewart. A big reason for investing in a
processor upgrade is because you or she might simply enjoy working with
Power Computing machines, because you respect how well they were built and
enjoy working on and with them.

The other big plus for the PTP series of machines is tremendous expandability. Very accessible, hordes of drive bays, ample power supply, easily expandable RAM, lots of PCI slots, easily accessible components. It's a great box for the tinkerer.

Yes the original bus is limited, but it will still do a lot of stuff really well, albeit, slower than the latest Dual G4's. For everyday use, with an upgrade card, it's still a very viable machine.
