Sir,
There is an alternative Tax S/W to Turbo Tax. Also $10.00 cheaper.
MacHome rated it above Turbo Tax. as I recall. I meant to buy it this
year ... but the Macintosh software selection at the Staples in El
Centro, CA (a small agricultural town) was limited to Turbo Tax, PERIOD.
Not wishing to get an extension, until back in Arlington (with the
increased odds of an audit); I bought Turbo Tax.

For Securities sake, all my financial software is on an external H/D
(Paranoia is having all the facts). It has OS 9.1 installed. I just
boot up with it, when needing to write checks etc. (my old Image Writer
II, with an Apple Talk card, put to good use).

Quicken 2000 works fine with it (OS 9.1). I don't use the internet with
Quicken (refer to 'Paranoia' above).

So saying, when all the so called improvements of ver.. 2001 & 2002 were
scrutinized ... Who the H...eck needs it? I also regard Intuit with the
same repugnance.

BTW, wasn't Intuit bought out by AOL or some other Nefarious Group?
