I generally configure Macs manually, so I don't know much about possible failings of Internet Setup Assistant. One possible step would be to trash the Internet Setup Assistant preferences and re-enter the info.
Tell us a bit more about your setup. What email client are you using? What version? Are you using Remote Access? Free PPP? (I'm dating myself now. Which also sounds kinkier than I intend ...) My initial thought is to check the preferences in your email client to see if the POP and SMTP servers are properly listed. For example, if your ISP is MyISP.com, the settings might look like this: POP: mail.MyISP.com or: POP: pop.MyISP.com SMTP: mail.MyISP.com In Outlook Express 5.x, you'll find this under Tools | Accounts | (Whatever you named your account). In Outlook 4.5, it's under Edit | Preferences someplace. Can't remember where it is in Eudora. -- Chuck on 1/31/03 8:40 PM, Charlie Reyes at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Hi all, > > Just acquired above desktop and installed 8.1.
