I've got a PTP 225 with an xlr8 G4 450 card in it. I also added an Adaptec FireWire card to connect a LaCie 120G External Drive. LaCie recommended the Adaptec card. I can drag and drop any file icon or group of icons from either of the 2 internal SCSI drives to the LaCie icon and they'll copy fine. When I'm working in Photoshop and go to save a file to the LaCie Drive, the transfer is slow and it seems like its pretty erratic judging from the activity in the blue indicator on the front of the drive.
anyone have any thoughts on this?
