I imagine everyone was hit with these. However, it didn't take me long to
kill my c. 2,250. In Outlook Express, I just designated that I wanted the
Inbox to display only those email that fit this criteria:

>From Contains Mailer Daemon

Then I clicked on one message, then went to Edit | Select All (actually, I
just hit Command-A) to select them all and hit delete. Took a few minutes to
download them in the first place (although a broadband connection helped),
but I had them deleted inside two minutes.

It was still an aggravation, though.
