I have no direct response to this latest spate of ingratiated prose. However, I will
take this as lisense to criticise the paragraph itself, in the hopes of improving the
general level of literacy on the net.

> give me something to "chew on"

"Quotes" are used, not for "emphasis", but for "indicating that the words between the
'quote marks' are 'quotations'". It can be "irritating" to read this sort of prose.

> Thank's for the reply

while the sentiment may or may not be be insincere, the reply is not a possesion.
"Thanks for the reply" is the correct line here.

> all your doing is "Ranting"

The reverse problem applies here. Write this as "all you're doing is ranting" and
you'll seem like a sophisticated yet insincere fellow.

> But I most say I'm disappointed with the threads I've
> recieved on this topic of mine.

Addressing the content of this is of course beyond the scope of this email. I will
say, however, that if you're trying to flame the list, there are better ways of doing
it. You could have written something along these lines:

> While I must say I appreciate the effort you have all
> given this topic, you are all rather clueless on the
> motherboard issue. However, I'm not posting this to
> simply flame the list. Some of the info I received (and
> thank you to all of those who replied to me off-list, by
> the way) has confirmed that this is the correct purchase.
> For your education, I've scanned in the printouts of these
> replies and attached them as a binary file. While I've
> scanned them for viruses, I am a little suspicious that
> merely opening the BMP files will destroy your computer,
> as I was recently infected with the "Good Times" virus,
> so please be careful.

There! By writing this sort of reply, you would have established yourself as
ungrateful, technically incompetent, and a Win32 user to boot -- qualities you've only
allowed us to see hints of.

Please feel free to contact me off-list, as I'd be happy to help you with your writing
skills.

Best regards,
