The original MacWrite that came with my Mac Plus in '86 went to a charity.
If you can find a copy of "Write Now", it may open the old MacWrite files also.
I have Write Now in a box same as above. A lot of folks were using Write Now on the old PowerBooks as it took up very little memory.

I have discovered recently that I have a number of files I need on floppy disks that were created in probably the earliest version of MacWrite. Does anyone know if there is a place on the web where one can access such archaic software? I have tried Googling with the term "MacWrite," but I ended up with a lot of junk. Was able to download (and found unusable -- screen froze) some French versions of MacWrite.
