Here's a problem that is really beginning to drive me crazy... While typing into Eudora 5.1, the program can't keep up. Now, I am a graduate of the hunt and peck school of typing, so this problem is not caused by my lightning fingers. On a good day, I manage only about 20-25 words per minute, but even so, Eudora can't keep up. Sometimes letters are dropped, sometimes they're rearranged, and sometimes they just disappear between the keyboard and the screen.

I have been hesitant to reinstall Eudora, because I'm not sure how to without losing the thousands of messages I have archived.

Also, I'm thinking that this might not be a Eudora problem because my wife has the same problem on her Powermac 7500, upgraded to 225 (with the original card from my PTP). But she has the problem in MSWord (5.0, 5.1 and 6.0). For her, it just started one day and got finally got so bad that she had to stop using Word and only types into Simpletext or Quark now.

My system:
PTP w/Sonnet G4 450
1 gb ram

Any help would be appreciated!
Scott
