re: I was about to bust out some Jaguar action on my PowerTower Pro ....but I ran across some weirdness with my CD readers. I
have the following drives: Apple SCSI DVD reader, SCSI CD reader from 7-series Power Mac
.........
***The Jaguar Discs that I've seen were DVD discs and could only be mounted with a DVD player like you've noted.***********
........ I couldn't get OS X to do its thing ............. I tried to eliminate variables by booting from a
7.6 CD. No dice. The SCSI DVD reader will mount the CD once the
machine is on, but I just get the flashing floppy when I try to boot
with C held down and the CD in that drive. The other three drives
won't even mount the CD.......

You can only install Jaguar, or any flavor of OS X on The Power Computing machines by using Xpostfacto
<http://eshop.macsales.com/OSXCenter/XPostFacto/>
Remember, you cannot boot form an OS X Disk without the above XPost Facto (as you've seen) ********
.......All of these drives will mount and play other CDs. Has anyone had this problem or anything like it?.................
*********It not a problem, its a feature.... :-)
