My brother just pulled a PowerBase 200 out of a dumpster. Surprisingly enough, it doesn't seem to work. It has an XLR8 ZIF carrier in it, though. When trying to start up, there's nothing in the way of audio or video or disk activity, but the LED on the ZIF daughtercard flashes. I haven't used a ZIF carrier in a while, but is this a case wherein one needs to bust out the special floppy to remind the machine of the ZIF carrier after an occurrence such as PRAM zapping?
