previous attempts at doing this have resulting in error messages, incomplete installs or "this update cannot be used on your system" (message comes up before install then locks out disc, so I can't bypass it).
so I want to make sure I'm buying the right version of OS 9. I've been looking on eBay, and a lot of them are going for $70 or $80. some say "will install to any Mac except the original G3 PowerBook", but does this include pre-G series and pre-PowerMac computers?
also, one says this:
It is not a CD-R, not machine specific and not a CD bundled free with a new computer.
what does this mean? not a CD-R? meaning it's not a copy?
