My copy of the 7th edition says it covers up to OS 8.5, the 8th edition says
it covers through OS 9.2.1 and OSX 10.1.

Does the company that makes MacBible still exist? I have an old version.

Yes,
There are new copies listed on Amazon up to and including Panther OS 10.3. But click on the Used button.
Just bought a new (used) copy of The MacBible 8th edition from Amazon for $3.92 and $3.85 shipping.
Total $7.77. Actually bought it with Mac OS Disaster Relief for an additional $5.95 & 3.06 shipping.
A copy of Mac OSX Bible for Jaguar (Used-like New) for $2.31 plus 3.49 shipping ... Total $5.80.
As a last resort go to ebay, but often, you will pay more there, than from amazon. The 8th edition was on ebay for $7.00 plus another $6.95 for shipping. Thats $13.95 total ... bought the 8th edition (including shipping) on amazon for less than ebay's shipping price.
